Why she is with us: Venus was a broodmare on Orcas for many years. When her owner could no longer keep her due to family illness, she went on our waiting list over a year and half until we felt the time was right, and we had the resources to care for her and two other members of her herd.

More about Venus: Venus was born in Iceland and shipped to the United States. She is actually a gray horse and in younger photos was quite dark. She spends her retirement bossing Brimir around and napping.
